Centennial Pool in Abbotsford for the 55 Plus Provincial Games.
Today was a good day [Thursday] . Two golds and one silver in my age group 65 to 69. I must point out that it is not necessary to discuss the number of participants in my age group. I do understand that some people are spreading rumours that the number of participants might have been less than three.

Alan also talked about the September 6th, Legacy meeting.

Legacy meeting will be at our regular Club meeting on September 6th.  It is VERY important that all members attend if you can.  Please mark your calendars.
Send your thoughts in to Ian and team about what you think our Rotary Club would want from this Club House and for this Club House.

Rick went to Calgary and met Calgary Rotarians and saw this project.  Thank you for sharing Rick.

Guest speakers this week Kristen Hyodo and Robert Simons about the Sasamat Outdoor Centre.

Thank you Kristen for your presentation on the goings on at Sasamat Camp.  So many activities.....School camps for outdoor education, private campers, overnight campers, weeklong campers, Day campers and community rental events.  AND all of this in our very own City of Port Moody.

Ramin & Alison
It was Ramin's birthday so he got 'The Song"

Youth Exchange

George Broderick asked our Rotary Club if we are 'invested' in having a Youth Exchange Student this year !!!
Most everyone put their hands up so he will now go forward to the schools and ask for applicants.
If your hand was up you may be asked to 'host' a student in your home for just 3 months.  The student will live with you as your 'own'. Other Rotarians will offer to take the student for a day, or night to different activities to help out.  It will be not only the BEST experience for the student, but also for 'your' family.
Please contact George for further information.

Pie Day at the Manor.....Thank you to Danne for always doing Pie Day at Eagle Ridge Manor.  For the next couple of weeks, Brian W will do for him.

Golden Ears Rotary Club is putting on an Oktoberfest on September 9th, from 4-11pm.  Last year they SOLD OUT.
Clayton will be attending and has many costumes he can lend you to go.  Oktoberfest's are always a great time.  Also he has friends who will have a limo that you can share if you want to avoid driving.
Let's see who would like to attend.
Thanks Clayton.

Good to see Brian W, PP Paul and Alistair on zoom this week.
