We RIPPED a huge mound of English Ivy and some black walnut, laughed and had pizza in yesterday's wonderful sunshine.

We are making a difference. We worked briefly in the walnut grove and took out saplings. It is great to see how little ivy is coming back there and how the well cedars and the ferns are coming along in the walnut grove.

We started pulling ivy on the trail behind the hatchery. Ian attacked the "mothership" with a vengeance. Trish was unstoppable with the ones growing on trees. Brian and Darryl were yanking huge amounts of ivy as they were ringing this one tree. Trudy was smart and just sat on the ground where she could be close and just patiently rip away. George and Larry both worked with smiles.

The Rotaractors were busy with the Amazing Race but we did have some great volunteers from the Hatchery.

As Anur and Margot from the City worked we planned next year's event that we will make into a public event.

THANKS Everyone!

Oh... Daryl still needs a beer!
