Rotary meeting October 15th, 2014

We were so lucky to have Gerry Caceres visiting us all the way from Nicaragua! Along with many Coquitlam Sunrise Guests, Malcolm, Hugh, and Katrina [whom we now call Hurricane!] Gerry gave us a great overview of all that he and Rotary have done over the past years. I think he has sparked the interest of many to go down to Nicaragua for some 'work and play'. Monty's Beach Resort looks like a fantastic place !

We had a jam packed meeting !!! Along with the above visiting Rotarians we had Nick's son Alan visiting and a guest for the 2nd time Terry Miller. Terry is a past Rotarian and has just moved to our area. We hope to see more of him for sure. And Ron Baker was at the meeting. So good to see him again.

Al & Ian gave a great presentation on the Rotary Rib Fest and they are going to council on October 28th, 2014 to present it. It would be wonderful if we had a good group from Rotary come to that Council meeting. Please mark that on your calendars.

More people are needed for Generous Hearts Food Drive on October 25th & 26. Please contact Julia to help. Just 2 hours of your time.

Cleone is now in South Africa and we gave her a good old fashioned 'For she's a Jolly Good Fellow' send off. Cleone will be working with the 'Day's for Girls' there and will keep us posted on her activiites.

Good meeting, lots of energy and the next meeting will be a Classification Talk, so please come out. They are always a favorite.
