.....This always starts my Christmas.......ImageImage

Once again we had a great turnout of volunteers for our Annual Chili lunch at Innervisions.  I'm sure you will hear lots of stories on Wednesday, but the one that struck me this year was a young man said 'This is so great, you are the closest to FAMILY I will have this Christmas.".....Rotary is family and thank you to all who came to volunteer.  At Miller Ave. we had Chef's President Al and Jason, chief dishwashers, Naomi, Isy & Kathy, table decorator & organizer, Gayle, Server, Jen and Chief Hugger Linda ;o)

The chili was amazing, thanks to Thrifty's who donated all the food and poinsetta's, and to Dan Gallant who brought us soaps to add to the baskets.  With the money the Club members donated, we bought table cloths, napkins, nanaimo bars, chocolates, baskets, socks and candy canes.  We put all the soaps, shampoo's etc in the baskets and the men helped themselves.

The men are always so grateful and it is a privilege to be there for them.  They are on the right path now and we know they are getting the 'tools' they need to stay there.ImageImage
