ImageI really appreciate how everyone does so much for me and the other exchange students to fill up our calenders and make our year unforgettable.
ImageTime off school is time to go on adventure and have fun! Not that I can't have fun in school, but sleeping in and being with friends all day is just a tad more fun.
2 weeks ago all the exchange students from our district came to Coquitlam and slept over at Jason Jakubec and Tereza McDermids houses. We had a great time skiing on Cypress on the Friday and then playing lazer tag on Saturday. It's always nice to see everyone, and we have fun every time.
The week after, I only had 3 days of school, because I'd been invited to go to Big White - again! This time I brought a French girl, Aurore, and we skiied and had fun all weekend with Greg (from the Sunrise club) and his wife Nancy. I really appreciate how everyone does so much for me and the other exchange students to fill up our calenders and make our year unforgettable. Being an exchange student with Rotary makes this entire experience a 100 times better.
So now, as you all know, the teachers are striking. I don't know what to say about that, but I definitely took advantage of the days off and spent time bowling and sleeping over with my friends. Back to school tomorrow, and then on Monday spring break begins... life is tough.. haha.
In the spring break I'll be going away to California with Jason (who's my old host dad) and his family. I'm bringing a Brazilian girl, Juliana, along. We're driving ALL the way to Palm Springs, stopping and sleeping halfway, of course. It's gonna be a long ride, but I'm so excited for a bit of heat and Disney Land! I'm a total roller coaster-maniac.
At this moment I still live with my second family, the McDermids. I enjoy every moment of living with them, they are fabulous host parents.
Life is good right now!
