....They drove me around to see sights of Vancouver........
ImageImageSpring finally brought some amazing weather to Vancouver, and I took full advantage of it this weekend. I had Friday and Monday off, so there was even more time to have fun.
On Thursday I went to the movies with a girl from school, Juliana, and we watched "The Hunger Games". Everyone had been talking about it, so we had to check it out. Not a bad movie at all! And definitely worth watching. Friday I had a sleep over with a bunch of friends. The next morning Cleone from the club picked me up, and we went to pick up Trudy. They drove me around to see sights of Vancouver like: The beautiful view at SFU, Gastown, we took the seabus, had some delicious hot chocolate, picnic at the beach, fish market at Steveston and a bit of shopping and eating at Commercial Drive. It was a really good day, and the weather was definitely with us. Thank you very much, again, to Trudy and Cleone for taking their time to show me quite a lot of Vancouver! :-)
On Sunday Easter came, and my host family had the family, friends and neighbors over for dinner. Lots of good food and happy faces! Easter was a bit different for me. In Denmark we usually have an "Easter lunch" with smørebrød (rye bread with different toppings) and lots of other foods. We always have an easter egg hunt in the backyard (even though I know other people do that here too, according to my friends), and lots of snaps bottles are emptied before lunch is done way after lunch time! Haha.
Before I came to Canada, I would've thought that Easter would've been a more Christian holiday here, with lots of people going to church and such things, but I didn't see a lot of that. And I didn't expect it to be like that anyway, after having been her for about 8 months now. Coquitlam is a very multi cultural city, and some people might go to church - but lots of people don't even celebrate Easter.

Now it's back to school tomorrow, and I'll probably be enjoying the good weather everyday when I'm out of there, haha!
