Ian Macphail and I made the road trip to Kamloops on the weekend. We left on Saturday morning.
We arrived at the Ribfest, held at Riverside park, to see a massive crowd of people filling the park.

This community free event is amazing, free live music, kids area (many free activities), Rib area, beer tent.
It had a music festival feel to it. The music was fantastic, the crowd was enjoying them selves.
We walked around, we talked to locals and tourists that were having a great time. We quickly met people traveling
from Spain and Australia.

We enjoyed a couple of helpings of Ribs in the Beer tent, and topped the evening off by enjoying the music until the end of the evening that wrapped
up just after 9.

The next day we arrived early to help out. We were assigned to the corn huskers. They sold over 5000 ears of corn over the weekend.
Rotary sells the corn for $2 a serving.
We then met with the leadership team to discuss the event. The Kamloops Rotary club has some great members who put this event together.
They shared a lot of information, which we will share with the club later. We also met with the traveling "Ribbers" to discuss how the event works
for them.

The event draws about 60,000 people over the 3 day weekend.

Congratulations to the Kamloops Rotary club for putting on a fantastic event.
