Random Acts of Kindness

A very surprised neighbour graciously accepted our bag of coins this week. During a recent walk with her, she explained how two of her friends are providing a program for street kids in the East End of Vancouver. These volunteers pay from their own pockets to provide a hot meal and some kind of social interaction, such as games with little prizes or the occasional movie ticket. My neighbour helped out once or twice and spoke of the interesting conversations she had with the young people. The bag held almost $25.00, which will be used by the volunteers to buy groceries for their program.
