Presidents message 4 of 52

We had our board meeting today (Monday).
One of the discussion items was the budget, after some discussion we postponed approval of the budget until we
make some minor corrections and know exactly how much money we are starting the year with.

A couple of other items discussed:
1) We are a sponsor for the Port Moody Literacy Golf event, as part of that we are to provide 2 golfers. We agreed to auction this off within the club, with proceeds going to the winners Paul Harris.
     The winner(s) must also play the role of Rotary ambassadors during the event as well.
2) We are going ahead with a small project at Eagle Ridge Hospital. Their are a number of empty planters at the entrance, we are going to buy a few plants and fill the pots.
    Anyone interested in doing some hands on project work for a couple of hours?
3) This fall their is a "September Musical Cerebration" put on by the district in Mount Vernon. This is a fund raiser for the APF. The attendance fee is by donation, your donation will
    be matched with PH points by both the district and our club. For example a donation of $100 would net you a tax receipt for $100 and 300 Paul Harris points. See District5050.org
