My thoughts go back to our last Club Meeting when our District Governor and his first lady paid us an official visit.
PRESIDENT'S MESSAGE It is Saturday afternoon and our flight for the UK is at 8:00PM., so we are doing what every other traveler seems to do a lot of, killing time! PRESIDENT'S MESSAGE It is Saturday afternoon and our flight for the UK is at 8:00PM., so we are doing what every other traveler seems to do a lot of, killing time! My thoughts go back to our last Club Meeting when our District Governor and his first lady paid us an official visit. I thought there was a very good atmosphere in the room that morning, which was great, as we had in attendance, not only the DG. but Dennis Boyd, Assistance District Governor, Jason J???? Past President of Coq Club, Barry Seaton Past President of PoCo and the God Father of our Club ??????????.. Dale Shae came up with a terrific idea, "A small act of kindness" The idea is, that at every meeting a bag is passed around so members, if they wish, can put in some small change. At the end of the meeting, say six or seven dollars has been collected. Dale can then assign some one to perform an act of kindness and report back at our next meeting. Acts of Kindness could be for example; If you are in a line-up at a store and you observe a worthy child or senior having trouble getting out the right change for their purchase, you could step in and buy it for them!! Buying some flowers or candy for some one at the Manor. Donating to the Salvation Army, Scouts, Guides, Brownies etc. etc. Helping with some ones fare on Transit. The possibilities are endless, We could set up a Prize for the most imaginative "Act of Kindness" that one of our member's performs. Well that is it for me; I will see you all in late September!
