President's Message # 3

PRESIDENT'S MESSAGE Summer is finally here! Isn't it great that rain is not the most prominent thing on our minds, our thoughts now are on sun tan lotion, swimming, kids out of school, suppers in an out-door venue where it is still light at 10.00PM! This is the time of course when many of us take holidays so it is not traditionally the busier time for Rotary. But there is still several things going on that we should all try and be involved with; Our kids camp at "Camp Jubliee" Aug 7-12th. This is an exciting place, to get ferried from Rock Point Park and a motorboat trip up Indian Arm to Camp Jubilee in itself is a neat experience. Are you going? Our annual partnership for the "Rotary Fall Classic Golf Tournament" on September 20th, 2007. Volunteers and hole sponsors needed This week is going to be busy too! Linda is hosting a "Fire Side" this Monday July 16th. Firesides are a great way to get to know each other better in a relaxed atmosphere and of course for the new and old members, it is how we learn more about Rotary and the good things this worldwide organization achieves. I have been invited to attend the dedication and official opening of the "Eagle Ridge Hospital Healing Garden" on Tuesday July 17th. This reminds us of why we raise funds in the name of our Rotary Club to give to worthwhile projects like this, making our Community more livable and successful.
