President's message...Feb. 17, 2010
It would seem you got along fime without me and I'm pleased. The Rotary Generous Hearts Food Drive seems to have come off without a major bump. Hopefully I'll have some numbers to share with you for this weeks meeting but, regardless, we know this; the SHARE Food Bank has a lot more food on the shelves this week than they did the last. My thanks to John Dalton and David Pedersson and all the rest of the Port Moody Club volunteers for picking up and running with the ball in my absence. I worked the Pinetree Save-On for the Sunrise Club, and many of our team generously supported other club's needs as well. Here's to the Port Moody Club! A great job and it's a good thing we were there to jump into the breach. A terrific effort for an extreme need! Incidentally, Mr Dalton and his team did a great job raising money for Polio Plus on Olympic Torch day. I believe the total was in the region of $550. Fantastic! I do believe it pays to have me go away! I do believe I'll do it more often! Its good to be back. Thanks for listening. Ron
