President's message # 1

My first official newsletter message and my first Club Meeting, is now upon me! First of all, I would like to say how privileged I feel to have been asked to be this years President of the Rotary Club of Port Moody. Our Club has established it self, over its time, as being a high energy and hard working Club, where I believe our members genuinely enjoy coming to the meetings and being involved with the many projects that we have successfully completed. I will work hard in trying to keep up this fun and hard working energy level that "Port Moody" is known for! I have "big shoes" to fill, following Past President Jon's great year and can only thank him and his board for handing over a Club in such great shape. Following the recent success of the "Search for the Perfect Pint" what better way is there to start my term, than with a healthy bank account? This fact will enable us to continue supporting our community, our youth and seniors, International projects and be open to any other good causes that will come up in my year of 2007/2008. In asking other Past Presidents their advice, to a new President, it came back to me loud and clear." Surround your self with good experience board members". Well I have done that for sure! Your new 2007/2008 board is truly experienced, wise and hard working. I would like to take the opportunity of introducing them to you at my first Wednesday meeting. Thank you all.
