President's Message

I have exactly a month to go in my Presidential year! Yes, just four more meetings! It has gone quickly and I have enjoyed the experience, in fact, I enjoyed it more than I thought I would? You know what it is like when you start something completely new, you are apprehensive and nervous, not sure of what is in store for you. I guess it is only natural, when you consider the excellent year Jon had and how seemingly at ease he was speaking in front of our members. Well I am not like that, in fact, I have a fear of public speaking. I use to rate myself, out of ten, on how I thought the meeting went. I can tell you there were some dodgy earlier meetings, that didn't get very high marks? Perhaps some of you remember them? Any way here I am, having completed 11 months and 44 meetings, I feel more at ease, not a 100% perfect, but less nervous�?�.. and get this, some of the meetings I actually enjoyed, in my book that has to be OK.? When I was the President Elect, I would ask other Rotarians for their advise in taking on the President's role, and it came back loud and clear�?�Surround your self with a good and loyal Board. Well that advise is so true, our current Board Members are out-standing, hard working and loyal and without their support my efforts would have come to nothing.
