1.0              Call to order: 7:08 am

1.1              Attendance:  Al Stjernegaard, Isabelle Beane, Alan Schmelzel , John Dalton, Trudy Gallant, Ron Baker, Nick Stebbing, Steve Witiuk, Orland Lee, Cleone Todgham, Farah Syed (late)

 3.1              President: John Dalton- Changemaker Award – each director please review

 3.2              President-elect: Al Stjernegaard No report

 3.3              Secretary: Alan Schmelzel–

-          Attendance for December 70%

 3.4              Treasurer: Steve Witiuk and Farah Syed

Working with Farah – dictionary project – accounts receivable of approx. $3600 from the other clubs

General account $49,000

3.5              Rotary Club of Port Moody Foundation:  No report

4.0               Committee Reports:

4.1               Club Service: waiting for new shirts that have been ordered – Guess Who is coming to dinner perhaps in March.

4.2              Community Service: Cleone Todgham – Visioning exercise – one of the items was a Rotary House – Paul Harris award for a community leader – do we have the room to hand out an award this year

Al S. Move that we participate in Community Service Day – April 29th at Port Moody Rec Centre – Steve W. Seconded – cost is $75.00 passed

Ron re Innervision – will prepare a budget for next meeting of approx. $4,000 to purchase some household items that are necessary– perhaps a District Simplified grant could be applied for

At the Manor Christmas party we should thank Thrify’s

 4.3              International Service: Isabella Beane – working on matching grant for container project to South Africa

 4.4              Membership: Ally Janmohamed – recommended for new member - approved

 4.5              Youth: Nick Stebbing –.A home has been found for her last stay

 4.6              Public Relations: John Dalton

 4.7              Vocational Service: Steve Witiuk – meeting with other clubs this week – to plan the distribution of the dictionaries to the current grade 4 class – Book marks have been purchased to cover 2 years – which has saved about one half

 4.8              Rotary Foundation: Nick Stebbing No report

6.1 .  Orland Lee presentation – has a contact in the Muslim community who is interested in a cultural exchange that would also be a fundraiser – perhaps we could organize something with all of the Rotary clubs

6.2   Bev Hillstrom of Amanda’s Rainbow – would like our support for her project – we will invite her to speak at a meeting
