PORT MOODY RIB FEST

The talk of the town !!!!
This was the Best Community Event ever.......there was something for everyone to do and our community was so thankful.  GREAT JOB !!!
Well Rotary Club of Port Moody, we DID IT.......
 
With PP Al Stjernegaard & Ian MacPhail at the helm, we pulled off what is being said as the BEST COMMUNITY EVENT EVER to happen in Port Moody.
 
Thanks go to our Rotarians who were there from 7 in the morning to 10 at night working so so hard.  We could not of done this without you.  And a HUGE big thanks to all the volunteers from the community....We are so lucky to live in such a wonderful City.  Speaking of which, a big, big thanks goes to our Mayor Mike Clay and the City of Port Moody for their support, and our course to all our sponsors.  To Elle & Trudy who were outstanding taking care of the volunteers.  To Lucie our Bar Manager ;o), to Gayle who will forever be known as the Queen of Rib Runners & Stevi her partner in crime, and Ann, to Alan who I think talked to every single person [all 30,000 of them] selling 50/50 tickets, to Cleone in the Kidz Zone who was having as much fun as the kids and Dan D who seemed to be everywhere and anywhere to help, to Scott who sent out more 'tweets', put out fires and did all of the marketing that obviously worked, the Rotaract Club who shucked & cooked corn and sold soft drinks. Trish was our wonderful, organized Money Manager, Jason who did the logistics, to Terry who organized Rib Judging and to George for the fantastic job of organizing the music and being our MC for the weekend and to Jill who came from Pittsburgh to help.....And these people are only the Supervisors .....Kathy Stjernegaard who know how to clean a table and probably never wants to see another one..;o)  
Although we are aware that not every Rotarian was available for this 3 day weekend, I believe a special mention should go to the following people who are probably still tired:
Ian, Al, Allen, Gayle, Ann, Patty, Trudy, Brian, Terry, Larry, Lucie, Darrell, Isy, Scott, Vida, Mike, Cleone, Steve, Dan D, Anthony, Lois, Lisa and Tony.......Thank you, Thank you, Thank you.  
 
[again I hope I have not forgotten anyone....mind is still in a fog]
