OH WHAT A NIGHT !!!!
Such a great Installation night. They are all fantastic, but somehow this one was very special. Yes we were 'all' [almost all] there and the evening was perfect from the start.
Jay from Saint Street Grill, set up the 'photo' area with books [Trudy's love] and hats, and glasses etc. So much fun and thank you to Ann who was our photographer. Also a huge thank you to Jay for doing our menu's. Great photo's of Trudy......
The greeters did there job well, thank you to Dan & Kerry and Patty & Lois. They handed out 'Rotary Coins' ....a gift from incoming President Trudy.
The seating plan was perfect thank you to Gary and Hazel and also thanks to Gary for the singing of
O Canada and the invocation. It was moving and so very appropriate for Rotary. So nice to have Trudy's family there to witness what will be a 'big' year for her.
Gayle led her committee and all went like clockwork. Cleone's presentation to Trudy was excellent.
PP Al gave a fantastic ROAST to President Alan.....not only could you tell that they are great friends, but that there is a respect between them. Thank you for sharing that Al.
President Alan's speech about his year was perfect.....Made everyone so proud to be a member of the Rotary Club of Port Moody. We had a great year under his leadership and we will continue that under Trudy's leadership.
PDG Denis and AG Clive 'installed' all the new Board and like always was so well done for our Rotary Club.
Trudy's vision for the year was so well said..., in her quiet and very strong way we will be led to another very successful year. .
President Alan's choice of Paul Harris Awards this year was so dead on.... Earlier in the year he gave one to Peter for the SFPP but at Installation he gave out two.
The two were so deserving for all the hard work and leadership they have taken with our Ribfest.
Of course they went to Ian MacPhail and PP Al Stjernegaard....So well DESERVED.
A huge thank you to Dave Stone for being the MC and making the night fun with all the lawyer jokes.....BUT not forgetting to thank everyone.
Yes it was an amazing night. We are looking forward to a fabulous year starting off with our RIBFEST !!!!
PS I hope I haven't forgotten anyone.....so much went on....such a fun night. Photos will be on the website soon.
