New View Society

For over 38 years the New View Society has been quietly providing essential housing, support services and programs to individuals in the Tri-Cities who struggle to cope with a mental illness. They recently opened a Community Wellness Centre on Mary Hill Road and it is now fully operational. They are providing a warm place for belonging and a safe environment for recovery and personal growth. 
 
This year, with the help of myself and Polly, the Society is stepping out into the community to host their first ever Mental Wellness Week. This inaugural event series will help share their story, create awareness around the organization and celebrate their many accomplishments. Proceeds raised from the events will go towards services and supports that increase wellness: social/recreational, employment, life skills training, self help courses and other opportunities for the community to gather and support one another.
