Leah Coss from Build a Biz Kids,  sent this link of the video's that she tried to show us.  Have a look.
this is what she said:

I thought I would send over a link to the Videos I was trying to play at the meeting today so that the club could see a few short clips of the kids practicing and then delivering their presentations. They are short clips but hopefully it will help them see the incredible work the students were able to accomplish.

What a great night!!!  Thank you to Alan for being the 'chief organizer' and you did an outstanding job !!!  Friday night was a sell out and everyone was having a great time.  The band was fabulous, along with the food and beer & cider tastings.  Thank you to Alistair for taking photos, you really captured the night.

I want to say how proud I am of this Rotary Club for running one of the best SFPP events.
A big thank you to all the volunteers, this event would not happen without your help.
An extra thank you my wife Lisa, who pulled together a crew to run the kitchen and keep the pizzas moving.

The weather was amazing, I guess I owe the big guy upstairs a favor. Very positive response from people attending, fun and well run event went. We actually did not run out food - which kept the crowds happy and festive. Everything went as smoothly as we could hope, for a large event, from set-up to clean-up.

We will do a budget report soon...I just need a few days away from this.

Once again, BIG THANK YOU to all of you for making this event a great success!

PS. Should we do it again next year ? laugh

Your Donations at Work
All donations to our Disaster Response Fund from March 3 to April 30, 2022, have been priori-
tized for use providing humanitarian aid to regions that are supporting Ukrainian refugees or
other victims of the war. Thanks to the generosity of donors around the world, we raised more
than $10.4 million in contributions that are already helping provide people with essential items
such as water, food, shelter, medicine, and clothing.
So far, 64 disaster response grants totaling $1.8 million have been awarded to support people
affected by the war. The Rotary Foundation will continue to use the donations for humanitari-
an aid in and around Ukraine, and districts can apply for these grants until June 30, 2022.
Donations made to the Disaster Response Fund after April 30 will be available to all communi-
ties around the world that need assistance recovering from disasters.

District 5050 has been approved for a $25,000 USD Disaster Response Grant to pur-
chase a Fire Truck

Rotary Supporting Ukraine
Rotary stands with the United Nations General Assembly in expressing grave concern at "the ongoing human rights and humanitarian crisis in Ukraine, in particular at the reports of violations and abuses of human rights and violations of international humanitarian law by the Russian Federation."

As a global humanitarian organization, Rotary takes a proactive stance toward peacemaking by addressing the underlying causes of conflict.

We support recent UN General Assembly resolutions calling for an immediate ceasefire and withdrawal of Russian military forces from Ukraine. This aligns with Rotary’s deep commitment to promoting peace through dialogue and conflict resolution.

We are working beside our partners in the international relief community to help provide resources to the more than 10 million Ukrainian refugees forced to flee the field of battle.
