Our meeting this Wednesday will be very interesting. Many years ago we sent a young man through our Rotary Youth Exchange program to Japan and he will be speaking to us about his journey. We are so proud of the young man he has become. It will be great to see you again Brett Hyska.
Membership - Mike Clay....
Mike did a survey of our Membership and of people outside of Rotary and went over the results. As usual Mike style, he was very funny and to the point. Mike will be sending out the results of the survey to us in a couple of weeks. He has spent hours going over this to make our Rotary Club even better than it is now.
One of the main points were 'we need more members'. And YES we do, but think about when was the last time YOU invited someone to come to our Rotary Club. Like Mike said, if everyone asked someone they thought would be a good Rotarian and have our same values, we would double the membership immediately.

This year our Rotary Club of Port Moody sent 32 kids to camp. They left Cate's park by boat on Friday noon and will return with so many good memories after 1 week at camp. Thank you to our New Generations chair, George Broderick for organizing this.
It looks like we had most of Port Moody show up to help clean up Heritage Mtn. Blvd. Thank you to everyone who came. So good to see May & Lee and Terry. I can't remember the names of the 2 young men and their Mom, but thank you to them as well. So nice to see young people helping make our community a better place to live. Great job everyone.
RIBFEST
Volunteers are needed. Please ask everyone you know if they could please give up 3 hours of their weekend to help us out. They will have a great time and meet new friends.
Positive thoughts & Prayers
Past President Paul went in to VGH for emergency Spinal Stenosis operation. [There is more to it than that, but I don't know all the terms as to what was done.] This was a major 3 hour surgery and as we all know Paul, he is in good spirits and feeling Blessed that we have a great hospital in VGH and as he said 'excellent care'.
Please keep Paul in your positive thoughts and prayers for a speedy recovery. He is out of hospital now and
re-covering at his sister's home.

Summer Sunday's and 50/50
A record crowd for a first show and thank you to Gayle, Ian, & Glen for selling 50/50 tickets. You guys 'rocked it'. Next week bring a tent and have it designated for 50/50 and I'm sure we will sell more. Well done.
