Meeting Moments on April 2nd

We had a great turnout this week and although President Jon was not there, Past President Al did a great job.

Dan Gallant has been helping with Pie Day at the Manor and reinforced to the Club how much the Seniors at Eagle Ridge Manor LOVE their pies and the fact that Rotary supplies them once a month with the generous donation from Thrifty Foods.

Pete's Posse was out in full force and we learned that Pete has sold his house, looking for new 'digs' [hopefully will be in Port Moody cause he is one AMAZING Rotary Club of Port Moody member], retiring on April 25th with a party at the Well in the afternoon....on top of all that he once again reinforced to the Club that the 1/2 hr of the Reading Program that we do at the Manor is wonderful. The Manor Residents love it !!!!

Linda and Al spoke about the Belize container that we are sending and although Linda kept talking about 'stealing' from your offices, what is meant is that we ALL can help in some way. Please remember to bring your novels & school supplies to the meeting next week. Al also asked the club to come on Saturday, April 5 to help clean computers and go through books we will be sending to Belize in that container.

Cleone had a great April Fools joke pulled on her by her son, saying that he and family were moving from Cleone's favorite place, Jasper, AB, to PEI.....he is NOT ....April Fools Cleone

Rotary RIPS is coming on April 26 and help will be needed.

Hike for Hospice is on May 4 and volunteers are needed for Registration

Don't forget about our SHRED-IT fundraiser on June 7th. With Tax season almost at an end, please remind your family, friends and neighbors that we are available on Saturday June 7th from 9-1pm at the City Hall for CONFIDENTIAL shredding on the site for a donation.

Yes we had a busy meeting; Dawn McKinnon from D.S.R.F. as our speaker this week.

The Best news for me was that our daughter Kari was in attendance, just 1 week after her major surgery, looking as beautiful as ever. So much strength, I am so proud of her.
