ImageRotary Hero's

Firstly, thank you to Jason Davies for his outstanding leadership leading up, to, and including last night's VERY successful "Search For The Perfect Pint". Well done Jason! Our entire Rotary Team was involved in this event one way or another.

Secondly, the set up crew and clean up crew did an outstanding job last night. Due to the fact that this was the biggest event we have had so far, with 17 breweries and 6 food vendors, we had a challenge get everything set up and taken down.

In chatting with the beer vendors, it is clear they thoroughly enjoyed the crowd, and want to be part of this next year. Thank you to Ian for his efforts working with the breweries the past several months.

The ticket processing went well, and our expert crew at the tables made sure the 450 guest were organized for a great time. We had lots of ice, food, coolers, ice cream buckets etc. Nick was looking for one of his coolers last night and hopefully it is now in his hands.

Our biggest winners will be the Port Moody Community, and our International commitments. We will have raised a considerable sum of $ from this event, and Jason will give us a final total within the next 2 weeks.

  Thank you to all!

Keith Vernon

WHAT CAN YOU SAY ABOUT THE 6th. Search for the Perfect Pint ,last night?

Except our Rotary Club pulled off the best ever SFFP!

The expanded venue was perfect, the weather was perfect the several food out-lets were great, and I believe we made a record amount money!

Our own President, AL, had researched some new Micro-Breweries to complement the 17 Breweries that displayed their products. Hat's of to IAN COLLOPY  who organised and signed-up the Brewieries, not a simple task ,belive me.!

The staging was planned so well by ALAN SCHMELZEL, making sure every exhibitor had a good position. Kudo's have to go to KEITH VERNON, BRIAN DUNNE, DON KLASSEN, CLEONE TODGHAM, for physically setting up the tables, fencing, ice etc. and tearing down.

Big thank you, to "The St. James' Well", for being our Presenting Sponsor and lending us the delightful Christie and  Kinga, who, with out there enthusiasm, JASON & I would not of sold as many Raffle- 50/50 tickets. . I believe this too is a record, JASON and Christie sold around $1,100. KInga and I sold $960. One of our past Rotatarians, Linda Baker was very happy to win $480 cash! Again our very own RON BAKER won the $100 Scratch & Win board.   Happy scratching Ron & Cathy!

Big, big thank you to TRUDY GALLANT, LINDA BALZER, GAYLE CARTER, VIDA PETERSON, ISY BEANE, NAOMI and CINDY for manning the the entrances, tearing up endless coupon tickets, counting the cash and generally being so supportive.

JULIA NYGRA for her expertise in the printing of  program book-let.

Thanks to have to go to our many Sponsors, who have been loyal to us over the previous years, without them the success of SFPP would not be possible!

The amaizing success of last night ,is due to JASON DAVIES, who headed up this event along with his active committee.

I think most our members where there last night, along with their family and friends , showing their support, which is great to see.

So in-spite of our challenge with the our of membership, we all pulled off an amazingly successful and, fun night.

Peter Cuthbert

Wow! What a fantastic evening.

It is not very often than an event like this exceeds your expectations and this one did!

Thank you to the committee and everyone in the club for all your help organizing and sponsorship and sell tickets for the event.

The Broacher looked amazing thanks to Julia Nygra, Brian Dunne and Leah

The banner was ordered and put up thanks to Cleone Todgham who is most likely out there now taking it down. Thank you for all your other help as well.

Ian Collopy organized 17 breweries this year that all showed up and made sure we didn't go home thirsty. Thank you Ian.

Ron Baker kept us inline and did a great job managing the tickets. He is counting piles of cash right now and should have an update soon if he is not scratching his lottery tickets.

Set up went perfectly thank you to Alan Schemlzel's team. Thank you Alan and team.

Ticket taking and separating and prize hand out was under control thanks to Trudy Gallant, Issy Beane, Linda Balzer, Gayle Carter, Vida Peterson, Naomi and Cindy. Wonderful job Ladies!

Jon Dominy took care of arranging the music, licence, insurance and invoicing. Thank you Jon.

Peter Cuthbert was his usual dynamic self with his multiple contributions to the event including sponsorship, set up, the always popular 50/50 and raffle hugs, MC duties and the Beer Sorbet! Thank you for all your hard work Peter.

We were all well fed thanks to The Well, Thrifty's The Burrard, Pasta Polo and Onyx. Thanks to everyone one that helped secure them.

Keith Vernon's team did the clean up in record time and we were out and cleaned up early. Your hard work just paid for our deposit next year. Thank you Keith for this and your work on the committee.

Special thanks to Patty & Don Klassen, George Sandwith, Tom Williams and others for your hard work during the event.

Last but not least a huge thank you to President Al. All your work taking care of details and helping in all areas made this event a huge success. We couldn't of pulled this off without you.

Thank you again everyone one for all your work. This was a great club effort and your help is much appreciated.
