Have YOU done a Make-up?

We went to the Farmer's Market last Saturday and the Rotary Club of Oro Valley had a 'booth' there with information on their upcoming Fundraisers and information about their Club.  Two very nice men talked with us, and I said I would be at the next meeting.

So Thursday morning  I went for the first time to a new Rotary Club in Oro Valley.  Guess what?  They meet at 7:00am, have a fantastic breakfast at the Golf Club and all are Wonderful Rotarians.

I was greeted and talked to by many of the Rotarians. They do most of the same things we do in the morning, Pledge of Allegiance, prayer, and they SING....today it was Home on the Range ;o)

The guest speaker today was a student from one of the 4 High Schools in the area.  Once a month, they have a student come to the meeting and give a 'speech' on one of the topics they were given.  Today it was 'who has most influenced my life', and she was OUTSTANDING.....The school councillor came with her and so did her Mom.  I thought this would be a fantastic 'Vocational Service' project for our club and for 'any' Club.  Her talk today was on her 'Coach' and how not only did her coach teach her about basketball skills, but about Life and how to build people up, never taking credit for the point you just scored without giving credit to another player that helped make that play.  OH MY GOSH you could of heard a pin drop.

They also introduced their outbound exchange student who is going to France....Dynamite young girl.....

What a great way to start my day......missing you all, but have made new Rotary friends.  I will keep you posted.
