Make-up in Oro Valley

Great Make-up meeting at the Oro Valley Rotary Club today. I always learn something wonderful doing a make-up at other Rotary meetings.

Today's speaker was Dr. Karl Flessa on the New Life for the Colorado River. I must say, I am very grateful we live in BC and have as much water as we need. Very interesting speaker and the thank you gift they give the speaker is a Children's book. They have the speaker, sign the book and then donate it to the Library. Great idea.

Also they sell tickets for the JACK of Spades. 3 tickets for $2.00 AND if your ticket is drawn, you get $1.00 back and a chance to draw the Jack. Makes for great fun.....

So nice to meet new Rotarians. Their President Elect just got back from PETS in LA and he is so inspired by the stories and the great work that Rotary does around the world.

It's a great day.
