Last week's meeting - YOUTH

President Al opened the meeting with the usual rousing chorus of “O Canada”.   Today’s guests were Krista Burnham and the Andersen family, Miranda, our guest speaker, brother Griffin and Mum Patty and Dad Brit.

Al recognized the following for their work this week:

Nick for the Police Leadership Camp/ Jason for his hard work on two big committees and Isy for the successful Matching Grant, our 3,000.00 contribtion has become 33,000.00.  It is the second large grant in just a few weeks for an approximate total of 55,000.00

Annoucements:  Jon – A reminder to complete his survey and return to him before mid April

                                                District Assembly is 13^th April at Kwantlen College, 7 members so far attending.

                                                Club pays so if interested sign up quickly as the space is filling up.            

                                                Invite a guest day will be repeated, watch this space for a date.

                                Al            Pub night Tuesday 26^th, please support this, 25.00 a ticket with 14.00 from each ticket

                                                going to Kids’ Camp.

                                                Rotaract Installation night a huge success, Denis Boyd performed the duties to install the

                                                New club and 22 enthusiastic members.  They will meet every two weeks, check their

                                                Facebook page for the venue, it will vary from meeting to meeting.  They would love to have

                                                Our members show up to their meetings.

                                                Hike for Hospice -  Trudy to advise how much help required for 27^th – 28^th April weekend

                                Jason     Search for the Perfect Pint ticket sales moving, please turn in your money for sold tickets

                                                There are more tickets available should you need them,  turn in unsold tickets so someone

                                                Else can try to sell them.  Gallaghers and the Well are both selling tickets too.

                                                So far 13 breweries, 4 food venues and beer Ice Cream confirmed.

                                Berit      was our Sergeant at Arms today.  She reminded us about the fashion show at City Hall  

                                                Friday April 5^th 7 – 9 pm in the Galleria.

                                                Gary donated 47.00 to his Paul Harris to celebrate 47 years of pure marital bliss

                                                Nick reported Police Camp going really well, great group of kids.

                                                Trudy praised our club’s emphasis on youth.
