Today our Rotary Club was treated to Larry's Classification talk. To the author a couple of key themes were apparent. How Larry enjoys and embraces change. Also how his parents played a key role in Larry fortunately for us becoming a Rotarian with our club. Larry took us through his journey of growing up in Southern Ontario and eventually landing in Port Moody. Larry finished his formal education with the University of Windsor and a Major in Commerce. He picked U of W after a search of some five Universities in Ontario because of its hospitality and visibility in the community. To help pay for his education he maintained two jobs including that as a Border Guard with CBSA. As part of Larry's change profile he worked at a number of companies large and small leading to his current position with a large Pita Franchisor in Canada. It was very apparent to his fellow Rotarians how enthusiastic Larry is in everything he does. He credits his parents for their extensive and long term involvement in the Kinsmen Club for his desire to give back to the community. That combined with Dan Dunlop being a neighbour and Larry participating in a beer with our Club's "In Search for the Perfect Pint" led Larry to Rotary. Many thanks to Dan for leading Larry to Rotary and of course to Larry for joining us and being an active member.
