Paul Harris award to Brian Dunne PH +1
This is Brian’s second Paul Harris.
Our club has donated over $500,000 to Paul Harris over the last 25 years.
It's always a good day at Rotary when you can install a new member of our Rotary Club. This past we we Installed Joan Schwanz as a member of our Club. Joan will be an excellent addition to our Rotary Club. Welcome Joan
Book Club meeting was at Peter and Cindy’s home. No book this time, just wine ;o)
Valentines Box is now at the Well for the public to drop off their Valentines before Feb. 3rd.,
Grant Seminar this weekend. 3 members have been approved to go.
Our Guest Speaker was James Musyoka of Kenya Connect
Our Rotary Club is one of many that are supporting this Global Grant from Rotary International. Total of the grant is $90,000.
Kyathani Sanitation Project Update.
Project to address the Sanitation and Power to 6 Schools.
Challenge’s of people breaking fences at the school.
Kenya Connect installing plumbing and water works, due to cracked tanks and water systems.
Completed April 2023.
Hand washing stations at 6 schools.
Trained the children how to use liquid soap and wash their hands.
Administration paved the way.
Built a Library.
Finished project last year.
Dedication of the project was attended by Cleone .
Next Projects
Sanitation with Compositing toilets, in 6 schools, by the end of February this year.
Valentines that were made by Trooper's [who is Joan's dog that goes to the schools and the students read to him] students grade 1-3. These Valentines will put smiles on the Seniors at Eagle Ridge Manor. Thank you Joan for spreading the Love.
Peter sent a 'Blast from the Past'. This was a lawn bowling fundraiser in New Westminster. Such a fun day......
