My Life in Canada April 2013 by Justin Porena

On April 1st I joined my second host family Ron Baker and Kathy Murdoch they are a really nice, funny Couple they have older children that don't live at home. They're nice to be around, we have a few laughs now and again, over all they're great people. I spent my first weekend working on Ron's boat which was a good time for us to get to know each other. We took a ferry to Vancouver island had lunch and drove around, looked at some of the sites and scenery of the island, it was a good day.

When it gets hotter the goats are on the roofs eating the grass that grows on the roof, I thought it was pretty neat.

I was sick a big part of April, had to miss school. It rains alot here  but now we have moved into spring the weather is getting warmer and the temperature is really nice now.

On the 9th  I did my 'Australia presentation' at Coquitlam sunrise Rotary club, everyone told me that they had learnt something, so that’s a good sign that it went well, I was pretty nervous doing it though.

On the 19th to the 21st I went to Seattle with all the other exchange students, my first visit to America. We visited the Chilhuly Garden and Glass centre which had some of the most beautiful sculptures and the Space Needle with some breath taking views.
