It is with profound sadness that we have lost a shining light in our Community.  Patty was a huge supporter of Rotary and she will be missed by so many.
Patty Sahota leaves behind a legacy of dear relationships, community building, and positive impact across British Columbia and beyond. She was a strong supporter of the many causes and initiatives. . “Patty lived a life of service, which brought her immense joy. She greeted everyone with a warm smile, and was incredibly generous with her time and knowledge” (quote from her obituary).  RIP dear friend.  xoxo

Thank you to AG Glen for this info:

District Assembly

Whether you are new to Rotary, or rich with experience, put April 13 on your calendar.  District Assembly gives incoming club officers, and all other Rotarians knowledge and connection that enriches their Rotary experience.  It's an opportunity for Rick to start building his leadership team, and to give anyone in the club another experience to discover their Rotary passion.  Anyone in the club can register.

These Women are Making a Difference - Coquitlam Rotary

The Rotary Club of Coquitlam has an excellent lineup of speakers coming up including Coquitlam club member Dr. Kathleen Ross (Kathleen is president the Canadian Medical Association).  This is a good opportunity to visit another club (something you've been "planning" todo).  Coquitlam Meetings are Wednesday Noon at the Vancouver Golf Club.  The food and the setting are fantastic.  Lunch is $30.

Freezing' For a Reason

The Polar Plunge in support of Special Olympics is March 2 at Rocky Point. To date we have 8 members ready to don their tackiest Hawaiian shirts. If you can't stand the cold water, your kind donation is appreciated.

Did you know that Bill Lawrie was the oldest plunger last year at the Rocky Point Polar Plunge for Special Olympics. I have it on good authority that he ain't getting any younger, so he's likely to claim that title again.

Take the #Plunge4SOBC and raise funds to help rebuild Special Olympics BC’s empowering year-round sport, youth, and health programs for athletes with intellectual disabilities!

Participating in the Polar Plunge for Special Olympics BC is an easy and fun way for all of us to connect and show we care about people with intellectual disabilities and creating inclusion.

Join our Freezin' For a Reason team or support plungers like Bill.
Music, bonfire, and hot chocolate served!

Saturday, March 2, 2024 - Rocky Point Park
Arrival: 11:00am
Plunge time: 12:00pm

Please help Bill dive into this and share the word.
