After lunch Catherine Hume from Rain City Housing was called up to give us a quick overview of the project they run out of the facility at 3030 Gordon Avenue. They have up to 90 folks at any time. Approximate breakdown is 30 in shelter, 30 are moving to a transitional stage and 30 are living in short term winter shelter. Unfortunately each year the number of Seniors (55+) grows.

Catherine thankfully received the underwear, socks and gloves donated by breakfast attendees.

During the breakfast Mike had assigned a team of elves to select the Ugliest sweaters, 2nd place ugly and honorably ugly (1 of each men’s and women’s). Winners were:

Women’s—Marie (ugliest), Trudy (Runner up), Honorable mention for hat (Jennifer)

Men’s – Hugh (Ugliest), Malcolm (Runner up), Honorable mention Brad.
