Rotary RIPPED!

It was beautiful on Saturday and we pulled 72 large bags of mostly
English Ivy from Shoreline park. We had 25 volunteers- 8 men from
Innervisions,  2 Interactors, 5 volunteers, Sara Livingston from the
City and the rest were Rotarians. Lunch in the park afterwards was a
nice finish!

There is a toxin in English Ivy that repels animals from eating it. It
can also strangle a tree. It reduces biodiversity and it takes away
from the natural esthetics of nature.

Thanks Everyone!

Yay TEAM!

Cleone along with Khayanga from Musembe Kenya, on Zoom, did a great
presentation on the Kenya Project

Khayanga explain the Education and Training Centre that started in
2008 to address poverty to improve the agriculture  for better
farming.
The centre burnt down and was rebuild with the help from Rotary.

course.
The tent is not only being used for the Clinic to provide shade for
the doctors but also for other activities like the Kids Festival.
The Clinic can see up to 200 in one days.
The students were very happy and sang when they saw the donated car.

After their request a battery was purchase.  To everyone surprised the
car work and have been driving it around, while until it ran out of
petrol.
Cleone attended Rotary Meetings, including Christmas, New Year's Party
and presented a Kids Festival talk.

The Kids Festival was held and was a success with plans to have it yearly.
Interactors brought compressor and tools.  Had to be careful when
purchasing items and security.
