Rotarians:
Our Honorary Member Tom Williams has obviously raised an amazing and caring daughter Kim.  Kim has been going to the St. Andrews Church, in Port Moody, every Friday to make breakfast and lunches for the Homeless.  I am going to post 2 letters that she wrote to her Dad's staff and wondered if any of you would like to 'join in' during this colder and Christmas season.
Our Random Act of Kindness this week would work perfect.....AND if you could bring along a backpack that you no longer need or use that would be excellent too.
Tom, I know how proud you must be of Kim and this is just one way we can show the youth in our Community how proud 'we' are too.

Hello Everyone!

Recently I have been volunteering every Friday morning at the St. Andrews Church homeless shelter and I've noticed a trend. THEY LOVE COFFEE! Because of this I have decided to raise money to buy them a $1-2 Starbucks mug and some instant coffee that they can have with them and drink during the cold winter days. Anything extra will be donated to the shelter and go towards buying the breakfast and lunch that is prepared by volunteers everyday. Despite common thought, many of these people have jobs that they go to each day and I've even met some retired fireman who became homeless after they retired. I know that something like this will really help to make their day better!

I would really appreciate you all helping me spread some holiday cheer to the wonderful and interesting people that I've met in the last three weeks!

Hey Everyone!

Below is a picture of what you guys have helped me create so far and thank you so much for doing so! As some of you may know already I have put the donation box upstairs on the table right beside the washrooms!

It has come to my attention that many of the homeless do not have anything to carry their mugs in when they are done with them so I have decided to take it to the next level and ask that if any of you have backpacks or bags that are easy to carry and aren’t being used anymore to bring them in to donate! I know a great bunch who would love to take em’ off your hands! (Clothes are great too!)

Once again, Thank you so much for what you guys have done so far and I cant wait to see how much we can accomplish until Thursday!
