Isy presented a slide show on the November 2011 Rotary Friendship Exchange with South Africa.
The trip started in East London (3 nights) with a trip to ROMEX the local Rotary Medical warehouse.
Our container was late, but we still visited all the projects.
The visit included orphanages and schools.
Next up was a drive to Aliwal North where we spent 1 night. The local host club only has 7 members, but they did a great job hosting us.
We visited a number of sites, Rob's Farm, Youth Center and a number of pre-schools.
Next stop was Queenstown for 1 night, and a number of visits to local pre-schools to help hand out shoes.
Our last Rotary stop was Grahamstown where we stayed for 3 nights. We visit a number of past projects including Saint Mary's CC. We also saw our grant at work with the english language program.
After this the group did a 9 day tour ending at Capetown.
