Guest Speaker

Our guest speaker was Kevin Lusignan, Executive Director ,from Community Ventures Society in Port Moody. 

Community Ventures Society was founded in 1978 to provide support and services to people with Disabilities and their families. 

They provide foster families, summer camps, Respite, community Inclusion, Employment and Shared Living services to support people with developmental disabilities and their families.

At this time they currently have 80 employees and do get grants from the government to help them connect with the community.

They are asking for anyone that can help employ any of these people to call and they will matchup potential  employees by pre-screening, placement and training assistance and ongoing support -all with no cost to the employer.

Scott Begley a Coquitlam Rotarian was also there to help. He is the Chief Financial Officer. The office #  604-939-8070.
