The Rotary Club of Port Moody's "Food Drive" The generous citizens of Port Moody showed what a truly caring community we live in! With the kind permission of the management of the IGA Marketplace Store on Ioco Road, Rotary set up out side, to get the message out that the local Food Bank needed help! In the space of 4 hours the Rotarians collected over 60 plastic bags full of non perishable food items, as well as filling to capacity the three (3) Cardboard SHARE Boxes! Not only did the Rotary Club of Port Moody collect approximately $700.00 worth of food, they also received cash donations for SHARE, to the tune of $406.00! About $1,100.00 in total! Rotary's motto this year is; Rotary Shares, this was exemplified by the volunteer Rotarians that attended. "The Food Drive" was headed up, by this years President, Peter Cuthbert, helped by Trudy Gallant, Orland Lee, Darrell Burnham and Dan Gallant.
