I just had one of the best weeks so far! School was a lot of fun, but
the really funny part began on Thursday. All the exchange students from
district 5050 came to my (Jason and Julies) place, and we all met each
other for the first time. Or, the students from Chilliwack goes to the
same school, so they already met. But we had a great, busy weekend! When
everyone arrived Thursday I showed them around, we ate pizza, watched
movies and talked until late. Friday we got up a bit early and went to a
hotel to have our orientation. It was a loooong day full of a lot of
talking, but we had a nice lunch and everyone got their questions
answered. That night we went to the hockey game in Coquitlam. We saw the
Coquitlam express play, and we got pictures and autographs with them
aswell.
The next day, Saturday, was a blast! First we had a nice breakfast, then by lunch time we went to downtown Vancouver. First we had a lot of fun in a store in gastown, then we ate lunch in Stanley park. We went shopping at Robson street and ate dinner at a Brazilian restaurant. When we had finished eating, we went to Playland. It was decorated amazingly with smoke, creepy lightning and haunted houses! We all had fun with the rollercoasters and time just flew by.
The next day was the pick-up day. We had a pancake breakfast, and everyone said goodbye as people got picked up. I can't wait to see everyone again! It was an amazing weekend, that we can thank Jason, Julie, Tereza, Bill, Marge and many others for! Thank you! I love being an exchange student!
