Good Evening Rotarians,
I hope this email finds you well. As you may have heard, the Rotaract Clubs of District 5050 are putting together a calendar based on the 2015/16 Rotary International theme, Be a Gift to the World. We are needing your help to make our fundraiser a success. Half of the proceeds will go towards the End Polio Now campaign while the other half will go towards supporting the Rotaract Clubs of District 5050.
The first part of the fundraiser is a drawing competition, where children 13 and younger submit drawings on what they think being a gift to the world means to them. The drawings will be posted and voted on to be put into the 13 month calendar. The artists who win will receive a prize, in addition to a free calendar. So, how can you help? Spread the word to fellow Rotarians, family and friends. The competition is open to any child (a Rotary affiliation is not necessary). We really need all the submissions we can get - so far we only have two. Our deadline for submissions is this
Friday, August 21st. However,
we are willing to extend the deadline if needed.
Once we have received enough submissions voting will occur. During this time, you will have the opportunity to vote for your favourite drawings!
The second part of the calendar that you can assist with is by providing us with a list of events that you would like to be included in the calendar. For example, annual events (like the district conference) can be sent in to be included in the calendar. This is a great way for your clubs to promote their local events. If you would like your event included, please provide the
event name and the
Rotary Club.
