Al, Glen & Brian are making their way around District 5050 telling the Belize story and asking for help with the Global Grant.  We will be providing educational material Rachel box, for the children in Belize City as well as in the rural areas.
RACHEL (Remote Area Community Hotspot for Education and Learning) is a portable, battery-powered, device that contains copies of educational websites in offline format. This means RACHEL can go anywhere in the world and wirelessly deliver free digital educational content to nearby tablets, laptops, or smartphones with no internet or data plans required. RACHEL has been taken to over 53 countries since its creation, serving students in rural villages, townships, and even prisons.  Each unit is $650 US dollars and will be about $3,500.00 US dollars to fund a school.  We are planning to start up 10 schools.  This is going to make a huge difference in the country of Belize.  If you can help in anyway, please contact us.

It is so amazing all the 'things' that our Rotary Club does each and every month.  Here are just a few:  Planning for RIBFEST 2024 starts now, as well as Search for the Perfect Pint planning for May.  We serve Pie at Eagle Ridge Manor each month and the residents love that pie.
Cleaning up Heritage Mtn. Blvd. monthly is always fun and we normally stop for coffee after to socialize.
Eagle Ridge Manor Christmas
Years ago when our Rotary Club was chartered, we told the staff at Eagle Ridge Manor that we were going to 'adopt' them.  Well we have done just that.  Over 25 years we have been decorating the Manor for Christmas, putting on a Christmas party for them and helping with items that they need to make the residents lives better.

A huge thank you to Canadian Tire for their very generous donation 'again' this year.
Gayle went early and decorated the Tree on Friday.  Well done !!!

Here are just some of whom came to the Manor to help.

Cleone was in charge of the decorating inside the Manor and this is her note:
Eagle Ridge Manor was sparkling inside and out in a Christmassy way.  Rotarians, their families and friends were hanging garlands from the rafters, decking the halls with wreaths and fun Christmas ornaments, decorating the trees and ohhh the lights outside are pretty too.
Paul Dreulis from Canadian Tire donated lights, garlands and wreaths towards sparkling up the manor for the residents and staff.  What a Rotarian !!!
Thank you for all the same out to help.  We were speedy this year thanks to all that helped and Eagle Ridge Manor staff and volunteers.

Rotary Foundation Dinner was in Bellingham, WA this year.
