This is what our Mayor Mike Clay had to say:

Great way to start off the weekend!

The Port Moody Hockey Association Bantam A2 team is currently teaming up with the Port Moody Rotary Club to help them with their 'Adopt-a-Street' clean up this morning.

Once a month, rotary gets together and cleans up Heritage Mtn. Blvd. and Bert Flinn Park. The boys are helping this morning as part of the 'Game Changer' Challenge, presented by Scotiabank and the Vancouver Canucks - even after a late night playoff game last night (which they won!).

So great to see the civic pride and community building!!!

If anyone loves Bert Flinn Park its our own Gayle Carter and she led the group in Bert Flinn Park

On Saturday at 9AM the Bantam hockey team (35 boys and 3 coaches) from Port
Moody met with our Rotary Club and the Mayor Mike Clay to do a city cleanup.
We had Trudy, Alan, Brian, Darrell and myself from the club.
We met with representatives from the Canuck's Hockey team as the boy's would
get to go to a Canuck's hockey game for doing this community service, and
would be featured on the overhead of the Roger's Arena.
We had the boys clean Heritage Mtn. Blvd, Bert Flinn Park and the front of
Heritage Woods High School. We got 8 bags of trash from the Park and High
School and many more from the Heritage Mountain Blvd.
The Project worked out great and showed us just how wonderful it is for our
Club to work with committee Groups.
