As the long, dark days of the season approaches..
Just a quick note of thanks to everyone who helped us get the Manor ready for Christmas. As the long, dark days of the season approaches..it so so nice that the residents have their home surrounded by the beauty of the lights and the delights of the the festive decorations. Thanks to Ron Baker for leading this and to Dan Gallant, Alan Schmelzel, and Jim McGrandles for setting up outside. Thanks to Dave Stone for helping the inside crew set up trees for the ladies to work on. Thanks to Gayle, Cleone and Elie; John Dalton and his lovely wife Amanda and their sweet daughter Lauren; and Linda and Francesco for doing magic on the inside. We decorated 4 trees, 2 lounges and some other areas in the foyer and one of the nursing stations. Many residents watched the activites and all agreed the results were great! And a special thanks to Ann Hulbert for securing two new trees from Art Knapps (donated) and Dan Gallant for new outdoor lights (donated by Paul Droulis and Canadian Tire). The Club also pitched in to help buy new decorations for the two new trees! I really hope I did not miss anyone..the morning is always a bit of a blur to me..a Santa's workshop on high speed, so put down any ommissions to my failing mind, not to any intended slight! I hope everyone can join us for the coming party and enjoy the fruits of the labours of this group effort. Thanks again to all our special "elves"!
