  • Heritage 75% Russian, 25% Latvian
    • Great Grandmother, Mother (now 100 years old) and Father came to Canada after life in a refugee camp
    • Mother was born in Paris
    • Lived in Montreal when they came to Canada
    • Christina was born in Montreal
  • Grandmother had a great influence in her life
    • Taught her how to be ladylike, not swear or smoke in public, attend church every Sunday
    • Gave her a sense of independence
    • Spoke 7 languages
  • Christina has a brother – Ralph
  • Growing up her father's form of punishment was to sit with him and play chess
  • She debated with her father on boy and girl chores because she wanted to do the outside ( boy chores) work
and didn't understand why she had to do the inside (girl chores) work
  • Her parents spoke French, Russian and English
    • They separated after 18 years of marriage
  • Christina was a tomboy and played lots of sports while at the same time did modeling from age 12 to 24
    • At age 14 she had to make a decision to either continue in sports or modeling because the modeling agents 
were tired of trying to hide the bruises on her body from all sports activities.  She chose modeling.
  • Her first modeling contract took her took her to Japan, Munich and the USA over a 3 month period
  • Then she signed a 4 year contract in Tai Pai and traveled back and forth to Japan on a regular basis
  • Got sick, cut the contract short and went back home
  • She went to Toronto enrolled in the University of Toronto to study languages and took a job as a bartender
  • Then she got into the film industry as a Production Assistant to the Talent Co-ordinator to assist the Producer for 
12 years.   
  • She left the industry and her first husband and moved to the West Coast in 2005.
