On behalf of the Rotary Club of Port Moody and the Tri-Cities Soroptimist, we would like to thank you very much for your generous donations for our Message of Hope. We live in an amazing community and ‘you’ have just proved that.
We created Message of Hope for women in our Community that are on their own, starting out ‘again’. There are many reasons a woman or girl may need to access Bea's Kloset. The Soroptimist have an established network of social workers and agencies, youth and family counsellors and school counsellors who watch over girls in foster care, girls pregnant or parenting at a young age, or women living in a recovery house.
When these women and girls age out of the foster care system, transition out of the recovery house, or are heading out to begin life on their own with their young children, Bea's Kloset will help them fill their new home with everyday essentials. Applicants must be referred to Bea's Kloset by one of our many partners.
On average, they have between 20-25 beneficiaries per month who shop at their volunteer-run "Kloset."
These women, along with their sponsor go to Bea’s Kloset and can pick out items they need for their home without any charge.
This year we chose to help with kitchen essentials and we are very grateful for your donations and please know that you have helped out over 30 women.
Thank you, thank you, thank you xoxoxo
