Spring has sprung and there are lots of events coming up!

The weather suddenly improved and we had two wonderfully sunny days over the weekend which made me feel like spring had finally sprung!

Last week we had Bev Hilstrom as a guest speaker and she told us about a wonderful new system that will enable children to express their pain level with reference to their unique rainbow.  They are going to run trials and require funds to help pay for it.  If you would like to donate, please get in touch and we can help you get the funds to her.  Also, please see Vida’s summary below.

Al Stjernegaard has returned from PETS and he tells me he had a great time and is fired up for 2013.  I think he is going to be a great president and I look forward to a successful 2013.

Please note that the District Assembly is coming up soon on April 14th. Our club normally sends about 9 people every year.  Please let me know if you plan on going. It may be possible to car pool in two cars.  If anyone is willing to drive, please let me know.

The District Conference at Semiahmoo is taking place on May 31st to June 3rd.  It promises to be a good conference. If you haven’t registered yet, please do so.

RYLA is taking place April 26 – 29.  This is a wonderful opportunity for young people to meet other people their own age. It is also a feeding ground for Rotaract and Rotary.

Port Moody Community day takes place on April 29th and we are looking to promote Rotary to the community.  Linda has suggested making posters which is a good idea. If anyone has any further ideas or would like to help on the day at the booth, please get in touch with Trudy.

Gayle is meeting tonight with the Installation team at her house at 5:30pm.

It is clear that we are a busy club and we are very involved in our community.  There is so much to do, so please help where you can and remember,

Many hands make light work!
