Yes it was the 35th Annual Terry Fox Run and our Rotary Club came out in 'spades'.  Thank you all.

This is Mayor Mike Clay's words:

Great day today, even in the rain ..., thank you everyone for coming out and supporting Terry's dream.

We had an estimated 215 runners, with an additional 25 volunteers, and our fabulous band - Second Wind.

Thank you to the City of Port Moody - Jim, Ron, Luke, and the facilities staff for helping out with the park and tables, chairs, and the all important tents !
Chrissy for the warmup leadership.

Thank you , Port Moody Fire and Rescue for helping out with the start.

Thank you to St Johns Ambulance for making sure we were all safe !

Thank you to Port Moody Police Volunteer Bike Patrol for sweeping the course and looking out for the participants.

Thank you to PCT and John Grasty for the tents.

Thank you to Thrifty Foods for the oranges and bananas, and the last minute help with another tent !!

YES, Tents were very important this year !

Thank you to the Port Moody Cheer squad - because of the weather and concerns for safety they were not able to perform, but always supporting us and we look forward to better weather next year.

Thank you to the Port Moody Panthers for bringing the group down and supporting.

Thank you to the Rotary volunteers for taking care of the registration - always there to help out and very passionate support of the Terry Fox Run.

Thank you to Second Wind - Jon and Kevin, for being so amazing, and George for introducing us...

While the weather was not so great, this didn't dampen the spirits, and the generosity of your support, and we were able to raise just under $ 8,000 in support of cancer research. The goal in this 35th anniversary is $1 per person in Canada - and 215 runners raising $ 8,000 is about $ 37 per participant .

Imagine if Terry could see what he created smile emoticon

We can't put on this event without our volunteers, and we have so many great volunteers yet again this year... in addition to our fab rotary support...

Elle, Sam, Diana, Tristen, Sasha, Michele, Raman, John, Jeff, Frankie, Christine, Paisley, Darcel, Catherine, Isabel, Jasper, Ella, Scott, Dan, Tony, Neal, Karen, Jenny, Peter, Ann, Paul, Laura....

Gosh I hope we aren't forgetting anyone.. so many amazing people make this all possible. THANK YOU ALL SO MUCH!

We honoured a great Canadian today, a brave Canadian, that changed Canada, and the world we live in. It is such an honour to be running part of the route that Terry ran.

So, most of all, thank you Terry ! Words aren't enough to express how much you mean to all of us, and we do this for you, and for all of our family, friends and loved ones battling or having battled cancer - many of whom are with us today because of what you started. You did not finish your run, but we know now, it's a run that never ends.. until we are rid of cancer.

We live in an amazing Community....Thank you Rotary Club of Port Moody for helping to make it so.
