So we are now approaching the back end of January.  Your Board met on Monday morning and discussed Kids Camp.  This year we are looking to send at least 30 children to Camp Jubilee

This was recognized as an important activity we do within our club.  It was also the first official event I attended in July of this Rotary Year.  What a joy to see these children connecting with nature and learning to work with one another.

Already I have received a request from a young girl who has attended for a number of years and is now at Middle School.  Her camp experiences caused her to seek me out and inquire how she can be considered for this year.  This is a great example of the influence of The Rotary Club of Port Moody has on many we will not know.

And we have our international project partnered with Grahamstown South Africa.  We are helping adults learn how to teach children to read.  Reading is something we take for granted.  But we know that for many, this is a skill that can help change their lives.

These two projects have championed by Isy.  She has lead the Kids Camp project for a number of years  to help Build Communities and has connections with Rotarians in South Africa that give us the opportunity to Bridge Continents.  Thank you for what you do for people across the world
