Varsity Football Coach Dave Young
Pigskin Talk--Peninsula High School (Wear your favorite sports team colors, apparel)

In 2015 the Palos Verdes Peninsula High School Panthers-- a team with a rich history of South Bay League titles and producing dozens of NCAA Division I players and members of the NFL-- folded mid-season.  The community grieved.  How could this happen to a school with 2,500 students and star athletes in other sports?  Some blamed the notoriety of high school concussions across America.  Others believed that some of Pen's best athletes preferred to concentrate on a single sport.  And then there was always the easy choice of blaming the coaching.

After several years the district discovered that Pen rival PVHS Sea Kings' defensive coordinator Dave Young, who had been with that team for eight years helping to lead the Sea Kings to CIF Southern Section championship games and West Torrance Lions All-Star game, was available for head coaching duties at Pen.   Join us for a meeting with Coach Young as he discusses this season and the skilled position players that fans and scouts bill we be most watching.  GET IN THE SPIRIT.  Wear your favorite team's colors,  ball cap, tie, sweatshirt or jersey.  This should be fun!  Introduction by Julia Parton.
