We are excited to share with you the vision for two symposiums to be held in the Rotary year 2020-2021 and which will take the place of the traditional Zone Institute.
On November 19-21, 2020, at the Sheraton Anchorage, we will have our first symposium. This event will focus on the United Nations Sustainable Development Goal Life on Land in the beautiful state of Alaska.
The second symposium will be held on January 14-16, 2021. We are excited to visit Hamilton, Bermuda for this event, which will focus on the Unites Nations Sustainable Development Goal Life Below Water.
Session experts, the Environmental Sustainability Rotary Action Group (ESRAG) and a United Nations Environmental committee representative will support both symposiums. All Rotarians, community partners and NGOs are invited to participate in both events with a focus on changing the narrative. We are also excited that PRIP Ian Riseley has committed to speak in Anchorage and PRIP Barry Rassin has committed to speak in Bermuda.
This year Rotary International President Mark Maloney has placed an emphasis on Rotary’s longstanding relationship with the United Nations. These symposiums are an opportunity for us to celebrate this partnership and use this to be our Call to Action so that we as Rotarians can make a sustainable difference.
See you in Toronto, Alaska and Bermuda;
