Lilian Tsi-Stielstra is a retired financial advisor in estate planning and has been a member of the Rotary Club of San Francisco since 1996. She is active in Youth Services. In addition to Rotary, Lilian is an active volunteer with the American Heart and Stroke Association, educating the Asian community about the risks of heart disease.

A stroke survivor, she has spent the past seven years learning to eat healthy and exercise. From not being able to walk one mile, she has trained and run in races of various distances. The idea of walking an average of 15 miles a day and carrying a weight of an extra 10% of her body weight was the next challenge. Lilian and her husband completed the walk of Camino de Santiago recently and is here today to share her experiences while on the walk:  discovery of the rich history of Spain, the kindness of strangers, letting go of the big city cynicism, and enjoying the moment. Lilian will also share the dos and don’ts of such a journey.
