- Mary Bak reminded us of the District meeting on Friday and Saturday April 24 and 25 at the Schaumburg Hyatt.
- Rik Boerjesson is going to Peru. As he and his wife have done in the past, he is collecting money to buy school supplies for the children of Pinchollo, the most remote village in the Andes.
- Barb Tubekis reminded the group of March 14, packing food for hungry children in Nicaragua.Kids Against Hunger will provide over 100,000 meals.Meet at the Community House Gym.The cost is $25 per person.
- Patti Van Cleave said there was another opportunity to benefit Kids Against Hunger on February 13 from 7-9 at the Bottle Shop in Wilmette.
- Joe Nash is planning a Band Night at Little Ricky’s on February 22 for Kids Against Hunger.Raffle items are welcome.
- Chuck Norton presented the annual meetingwith voting on a ByLaw revision and for the new officers and directors.

Speaker: Becky Hurley, a long time Winnetka resident and a former member of the Winnetka Plan Commission, spoke on Winnetka Futures 2040. Winnetka was an early adopter of a Comprehensive Plan for the Village starting with the first plan in 1920. The Comprehensive Plan is meant to provide guidelines for the future real estate development of the Village. Becky walked us through the process of developing the 2040 Plan. The last plan was created in 1999. The Lakota Group will be managing the process. History plus Tradition plus Innovation will generate the plan. There are three steps in the process. First, Analyze. Bring together focus groups and get input from the Community. Second, Visioning. Think more about the information received and determine how that should translate into the future of the Village. Third, Draft the Plan. Put the ideas on paper and get further input from the Community. It will be a long process, but an interesting process that will give guidelines for the Village decision makers for the next 20 years.
