The Mayor of Park Ridge, Marty Maloney, presented Club President, Gayle Mountcastle, with a proclamation recognizing October 24, 2017 as World Polio Day in Park Ridge. Past Club Presidents Roger Crawford and Allan Bartel accepted the proclamation with President Mountcastle.
World Polio Day is recognized around the world and raises awareness of the efforts of Rotary International, World Health Organization, US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, United Nations Children’s Fund, and the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation.
